Make Thanksgiving look great the second time around. Now you can bring something to the table that looks like you put in twice the effort. A fresh creation of leftover deliciousness!
A Bucket of Bread (your choice - this recipe is using Traditional White)
2 cups mashed potatoes
2 cups cooked turkey, chopped
2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup green bean casserole
1 cup stuffing
1/2 cup cranberry sauce
To taste, salt, pepper, and sage or other seasoning
1 circular pizza pan
Roll out dough and cut into triangles.
Place the longer end of the triangles in a circle onto the pan.
Leave a circle in the center with all the triangle points laying over the the outside edge of the pan, all the way around the pizza pan, to create a ring of dough triangles.
Spoon in the mashed potatoes, turkey, cheese, green bean casserole, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on top of the large ends of the triangles.
Pull the pointed edges of the dough triangles up and over the filling.
Use a knife to gently tuck each triangle dough tip underneath the inside end of the ring to secure.
Brush the ring with a good coat of egg wash.
Sprinkle on some seasonings as desired (pictured is salt, pepper, and sage).
Bake in an oven preheated to 400°F for about 25-30 minutes, or until the ring is nice golden brown.
Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Note: These recipe amounts are approximate, please feel free to add or take away any of the ingredients that you like or don't like. The idea is to stuff the ring with everything you love from your Thanksgiving dinner! The key is not to stuff it too high, or you will run out of dough to cover your final dish! Another hint is to get a piece of paper in the shape of a rectangle and draw a line from one corner to the other. Cut it out and use it as a right angle triangle template for the size of ring you want.
