Mummified Jalapeño Poppers

Cute Halloween Spicy Treats!

Items Needed:

  • 1 8-Ounce Package of Cream Cheese - Room Temperature

  • 1/4 Cup Mozzarella

  • 1/4 Cup Cheddar

  • 2 Diced Green Onions

  • 1 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika

  • 1/4 Cup Room Temperature Cooked Bacon Pieces

  • 12-24 Medium Sized Jalapeños

  • Edible Baking Googly Eyes


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Wash the jalapeños.

  2. Cut jalapeños vertically (long ways) in half leaving on the stems. Keep the halves together so they fit back together later.

  3. Cut out the seeds (guts) and discard/compost.

  4. Mix remaining ingredients together in a bowl.

  5. Use a spoon and stuff the jalapeños with the filling and connect the halves.

  6. Get out your Favorite Bucket of Bread and take a small amount of dough out. Use your hands to make long ropes of dough.

  7. Wrap the dough ropes around the jalapeños and leave a few spaces in between each strand.

  8. Place each jalapeño onto a cooking sheet using either non-stick foil, parchment paper, or a silicon mat leaving at least 2 inches in-between each jalapeño.

  9. Lightly brush each jalapeño with an egg wash.

  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

  11. Let cool slightly to safely touch while putting on the final touches.

  12. Use a small amount of filling on the back of the googly eyes to help them stick to the jalapeños.

  13. Place the eyes carefully.
