Tracy's Monkey Bread

Updated: Apr 8

Why do monkeys like bread so much? Probably because of Tracy's Monkey Bread recipe using the Traditional White Bucket from Bucket of Bread available for pick up in-store or shipped to Anytown in Everywhere, USA.

Items Needed:

  • 1 to 1 1/2 handfuls of risen Traditional White Bucket of Bread dough

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 tsp. (to 2 teaspoons) cinnamon

  • 1 stick butter

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • Baking pan/Bundt pan (ideally)

Preparations:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees..

  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.

  3. Melt butter and combine the brown sugar heating on low until it starts to bubble.

  4. Roll dough into 1-inch balls (amount depends on pan size)

  5. Add dough balls to the sugar/cinnamon mixture ensuring they are fully covered.

  6. Place dough balls into a lightly greased baking pan or ideally a small Bundt pan.

  7. Pour the hot butter and brown sugar mixture over the top of dough balls.

  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

  9. Prepare for the Monkey Invasion as this cools.

Did you know? In 1982, former First Lady, Nancy Reagan, commented to White House Staff that monkey bread was named as such, “because when you make it, you have to monkey around with it.”
